Eurasian Development Bank forecasted significant decrease of goods turnover of Kazakhstan and Russia in 2009. The chief of Department of Economic Analysis and Consulting of the bank, Evgeniy Vinokurov, informed, the agency reports.
"Trade has started to be restored, but we will reach the level of 2008 not very soon - in 2010 or in 2011," E. Vinokurov informed.
"In the first half of 2009, mutual trade of the CIS countries has sharply fallen in connection with the crisis." "Volume of mutual trade has amounted for the first half of 2009 - $37.7 billion that is by 44 % less than in the first half of 2008. The level of trade has mostly decreased in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus," the chief of Department of Economic Analysis and Consulting of the bank said.
