A Class A+ warehouse worth US $125 million to be built in Almaty - Griffin Partners and the EDB signed a memorandum

Almaty, 25 June 2026 - The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and international developer Griffin Partners have signed a cooperation agreement on warehouse real estate projects in Central Asia. The first joint project will be Griffin Logopark Almaty, a Class A+ warehouse complex with a total area of 125,478 m2; the total investment in the project is estimated at approximately US $125 million. The agreement was signed during the Eurasia 2030+ Forum in Almaty.

The facility is strategically located in the northern part of the city, near the Almaty Ring Road (BAKAD), with direct access to the A3 highway (Almaty - Konayev - China). The complex is part of Alatau City, an emerging digital, technological, and logistics hub in the suburbs of Almaty.

The new infrastructure facility will create approximately 600 jobs, attract foreign direct investment, and form a high-quality logistics platform in the northern part of the city. Construction will be carried out in three phases; the first phase, covering 62,700 m2, is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027.

The complex is located amidst the production and logistics facilities of major international FMCG companies. Reducing the transportation distance for tenants will optimize supply chains and reduce the cost of everyday goods for city residents.

According to Aibol Rakhimbayev, Head of the Entrepreneurship and Industrial-Innovative Development Department of the Almaty Region, the project is of strategic importance for the development of the region's transport and logistics potential.

"The implementation of the Griffin Logopark Almaty project will strengthen the Almaty region's position as one of the country's leading logistics hubs. Establishment of modern warehouse infrastructure will contribute to the development of the region's transit potential, attract new investment, and create additional jobs. We welcome the company's cooperation with the Eurasian Development Bank and are confident that this project will make a significant contribution to further development of the region's economy," Aibol Rakhimbayev noted.

Sergey Ignatov, Senior Managing Director of the EDB:

"Cooperation with Griffin Partners is a strategic partnership. We welcome the entry of such an experienced player into the Central Asian market. I am confident that joint projects will set a new quality standard for warehouse real estate in the region; for the EDB, this is an important step in implementing the strategy for developing the transport and logistics network in Eurasia."

Oleg Gusakov, representative of Griffin Logopark Almaty LLP:

"EDB's support will enable the implementation of a high-quality infrastructure project with predictable completion dates, transparent lease agreements, and stable operating conditions. Such projects serve as the foundation for further development of surrounding areas, including the dynamically developing Alatau City. We are confident that Griffin Logopark Almaty will attract leading national and international companies, support their growth, and increase the availability of finished products for Almaty residents."
