The project to construct and operate street lighting grids in Atyrau (148,525 metres long) is the fourth phase of Batys Transit’s relevant programme in Atyrau, implemented as a public-private partnership.
The project is expected to install:
- 5,000 poles
- 5,000 LED streetlights
- 75 control cabinets
- 0.48 kV overhead transmission lines (170,000 metres)
- 10 kV cabling (5,000 metres)
- 20 outdoor package transformer substations

In September 2021, the EDB’s Atyrau street lighting project won the prestigious international Environmental Finance’s 2021 IMPACT Award in Energy.
