The Irtysh River Basin: Transboundary Challenges and Practical Solutions
The water resources of the transboundary Irtysh River basin are becoming increasingly significant for China, Kazakhstan and Russia. The high rates of economic growth and the growing population in the basin result in a significant increase in demand for water. The new study presents the results of diagnostics and forecasts of the state of water resources in the basin, identifies the positions of the three countries and proposes practical solutions, including investment solutions.
