7th EDB International Conference on Eurasian Integration opens in Moscow
Moscow, 11 October 2012. The 7th international research-into-practice conference of Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) Towards the Eurasian Economic Union opened today in Moscow in the presidium building of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The conference has been organised by the Bank in cooperation with the RAS Institute of Economics.
«The Banks annual conferences traditionally collect most prominent experts and heads of authorities from the countries of the region and of integration associations,» says Vladimir Yasinsky, Member of the EDB Management Board and Head of Research. «This is exactly the reason why they are an optimum floor where specialists can publicly present and discuss the issues of Eurasian integration and thereby foster the finding of the optimum ways to solve them.»
The participants in the forum will discuss the first outcomes of the Customs Union and the formation of the Common Economic Space. Theme sections are open to share opinions on currency and financial integration, the common labour market, public attitudes to integration processes, intercountry aspects of the innovative development in the region, and the formation of cross-border transport corridors, with practical recommendations to be developed.
The EDB conference will be held for two days. The most interesting and topical reports will be published in the Banks Journal of Eurasian Economic Integration and The Eurasian Integration Yearbook.
