Adylbek Kasymaliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Tigran Sargsyan, Vice Chairman of the EDB Management Board, discuss joint digital projects

Moscow, 17 March 2023. Adylbek Kasymaliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Tigran Sargsyan, Vice Chairman of the Eurasian Development Bank’s (EDB) Management Board and Supervisor of the Fund for Digital Initiatives, discussed joint digital projects.

They discussed the establishment by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic of an interdepartmental working group for joint projects with the Fund for Digital Initiatives as instructed by Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the President’s Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Priority projects include digital solutions in the jewellery trade, mutual recognition of electronic digital signatures in Eurasia and the development of the Work in the EAEU mobile app.

The sides also discussed possible extensions to the COVID-19-Free Travel app, in particular the digitalisation of the medical examination of foreign nationals arriving in Russia.

In addition, they talked about business initiatives in tourism and the light industry.

Akylbek Kasymaliyev confirmed the Kyrgyz Government’s interest in developing cooperation with the Fund for Digital Initiatives in these areas.

“We are grateful to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic for how promptly it has considered our initiatives and started to make decisions. We launched a new phase of our cooperation just a little over a month ago as instructed by Mr Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers. And today we are already discussing specific projects,” stressed Tigran Sargsyan.
