Aleksei Kudrin Appointed Authorised Representative of Russia in EDB Council
Almaty, 25 February 2011. In accordance with Resolution No.245-r dated 21 February 2011 of Russian Premier Vladimir Putin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Aleksei Kudrin was appointed authorised representative of Russia in the EDB Council. He succeeded in this position Viktor Khristenko, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian federation.
By the same resolution, Andrei Dementyev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, was appointed deputy authorised representative; he succeeded Dmitry Pankin, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation.

Kudrin, Aleksei Leonidovich
Born 12 October 1960 in Dobel, Latvia.
University degree, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor.
Before entering the Leningrad State University worked in the Academy of Logistics and Transport of the Soviet Ministry of Defence in Leningrad as motor mechanic and motor laboratory instructor.
After graduating from the Economics Chair of the Leningrad State University worked as intern-researcher at the Institute of Socioeconomic Problems of the Soviet Academy of Sciences.
In December 1985 took a post-graduate programme of the Institute of Economics of the Soviet Academy of Sciences.
After defending his Candidate’s thesis made research at the Institute of Socioeconomic Problems of the Soviet Academy of Sciences.
Since October 1990 worked as Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Reform of the Executive Committee of the Leningrad Municipal Council.
After dissolution of the Committee on Economic Reform was transferred to the Managing Committee of the Leningrad Free Entrepreneurship Zone.
November 1991 – 1992: Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Development.
August 1992 – 1993: Chairman of the Financial Administration of the City Council of St. Petersburg (later renamed Financial Committee).

Born 13 September 1967 in Korkino, Chelyabinsk Oblast.

In 1991 graduated from the Chelyabinsk Polytechnic Institute and in 1996 from the Academy of National Economy of the Russian Government.
1990-1991: engineer at the Mechanical Engineering Economics Chair of the Chelyabinsk State Technical University.
