Digital technology and innovations for Eurasia: sector leaders to discuss key developments at the EDB Business Forum
Almaty, 12 June 2024. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) will discuss key developments in digital technology and innovative projects in Eurasia at the session titled Digital Technology and Innovations for Eurasia during the EDB Business Forum, scheduled for 27 and 28 June in Almaty.
The session will focus on advancing cross-border digital projects and initiatives. Participants will explore the conditions necessary for their successful development and the challenges digital startups face in mobilising funding and during implementation. Special emphasis will be placed on the role of venture capital financing in developing efficient investment methods for new digital projects. Additionally, the session will discuss prospects for the development of EDB-funded digital projects and opportunities to strengthen support for such initiatives.

The EDB is a unique development bank in Eurasia with a dedicated focus on supporting national digital transformation and fostering cross-border digital cooperation through its Fund for Digital Initiatives.
Since its establishment, the Fund has launched several major initiatives, including its flagship project – the COVID-19 Free Travel app, a project to develop the international Bee-online.ru digital platform designed to help advance and scale light and fashion businesses, and the Work in the EAEU mobile app, among others.
