Moscow, 4 October 2011. The Eurasian Development Bank’s (EDB) Council made this decision today. Until recent time, Dmitry Zhurba was the president of the Alemar Investment Financial Corporation.
Mr Zhurba will coordinate and manage the Bank’s investment activity. In particular, he will organise work to improve the Bank’s investment instruments, prepare and present investment projects for consideration of the Bank’s management, and control their implementation. He will also manage the formation of the Bank’s investment portfolio, control the structuring of investment projects and coordinate the Bank’s corporate finance activities, including operations in capital markets and trade finance.
Mr Zhurba will coordinate and control the EDB Investment Division, including the Corporate Finance and the Structured Finance Departments.

It keeps growing and strengthening its positions in the regional market. Dmitry has a huge experience with large Russian companies, including RAO UES of Russia and Rosenergoatom. Dmitry’s experience and professionalism will help the EDB achieve even better results.”
Dmitry Zhurba was born on 1 December 1966 in Novosibirsk. In 1989 he graduated from the Novosibirsk Electrical Engineering Institute, majoring in electronic engineering. The same year he started career as an intern researcher at the Semiconductor Physics Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences’ Siberian Department. From 1992 to 1993 he was Vice President of the West Siberian Stock Exchange. In 1994-1998 he was General Director of the Alemar Investment Financial Corporation. In 1998-1999 he was First Deputy General Director of Krasnoyarskenergo. In 1999-2000 he was First Deputy Executive Director of the state-run Rosenergoatom. In 2000-2005 he was Financial Director and member of the Executive Board of RAO UES of Russia. From September 2005 to November 2007 he was Vice President of the Alemar Investment Financial Corporation and from November 2007 its President and a co-owner of the A’lemar Investment Group.
