EDB announces a new research and publication competition
Almaty, 21 April 2014. Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) announces its fifth competition among research and publication projects within the Regional Integration Research Programme of the EDB Technical Assistance Fund (TAF).
«EDB conducts yearly competitions for grants for research or the publication of research papers on integration topics with a view to fostering Eurasian integration studies and international cooperation and to supporting young and promising researchers in this area,» says Vladimir Yasinsky, Member of the Board and Managing Director for Research at EDB. «The priority projects are those that encompass economic, political and sector-specific research in the areas of transport, communications, energy and the environment and that can be put in practice to promote integration between the Bank’s member states.»
The fifth research and publication competition within the EDB TAF Regional Integration Research Programme will run from 21 April to 23 May 2014.
Individual researchers and research groups from institutions and organisations of the CIS countries, primarily from the Bank member states, can take part in the competition. Those who have already participated in similar competitions within the EDB TAF Regional Integration Research Programme and have received grants may be admitted to the competition only once every three years.
The winners can be provided with an additional grant to take part in the Bank’s conference if the topic of their research is in line with the theme of the conference.
When research and publication projects are completed, the Bank will announce their results and contents on its website. In addition, articles prepared based on publications and research may be published in The Journal of Eurasian Economic Integration.
