EDB Council Approves Sergey Glazyev as Chairman of the Scientific Council of EDB’s Integration Research Centre

Moscow, 29 June 2011. The Eurasian Development Bank’s (EDB) Council discussed, at a session on Tuesday in Moscow, the launching of work of the EDB Integration Research Council (IRC) and adopted its Framework Programme of Activities for 2011.

The Council also approved the Regulations on the IRC Scientific Council and its members. The Scientific Council comprises:

1. Mr Sergey Glazyev, academician of the Russian Academy of Science, PhD in economics, Executive Secretary of the EurAsEC Customs Union Commission, Chairman of the Council;
2. Mr Sailau Baizakov, PhD in economics, professor, Chief Head of Research at the Economic Research Institute;
3. Mr Sergey Vassilyev, PhD in economics, Head of Research at the International Centre for Social and Economic Research — Leontief Centre;
4. Mr Vyacheslav Vashanov, PhD in economics, professor, Deputy Director of the Council for Studying Productive Forces;
5. Mr Valery Geyetz, academician of the Ukrainian National Academy of Science, PhD in economics, professor, Director of the Ukrainian National Academy of Science’s Institute for Economics and Forecasting;
6. Mr Mikhail Gelvanovsky, PhD in economics, professor, Director of the National Development Institute at the Russian Academy of Science’s Social Sciences Division;
7. Mr Oraz Zhandosov, PhD in economics, Director of the Rakurs Centre for Economic Analysis;
8. Mr Vladimir Zuyev, PhD in economics, professor at the Higher School of Economics;
9. Mr Viktor Ivanter, academician of the Russian Academy of Science, PhD in economics, Director of the Russian Academy of Science’s Institute of Economic Forecasting;
