EDB Council Meeting Held

Almaty, 14 December 2009. On Friday, 11 December, St. Petersburg hosted a meeting of the EDB Council. It was attended by Dmitry Pankin, Deputy Minister of Finance of Russia, Bolat Zhamishev, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Iosif Isayan, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Armenia, and Abdulgafor Rakhmonov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of Tajikistan.

The Council approved the financing of the investment project Construction of the Third Power Generating Unit of the Ekibastuz GRES-2.

The Council also approved the internal procedures of the EDB for managing the EurAsEC Anti-crisis Fund and amended the organisational structure of the Bank by creating the Department for Managing the EurAsEC Anti-crisis Fund.

The meeting approved the EDB’s budget and a Work Plan of the Technical Assistance Fund for 2010.
