EDB Integration Barometer’s primary data are transferred to the Joint Economic and Social Data Archive

13 June 2013

Saint Petersburg, 13 June 2013. Eurasian Development Bank’s (EDB) Centre for Integration Studies has transferred primary poll data obtained in the framework of its ongoing research project The EDB Integration Barometer to the Joint Economic and Social Data Archive at the National Research University — Higher School of Economics.

The Centre for Integration Studies is implementing The EDB Integration Barometer project in cooperation with the Eurasian Monitor International Research Agency. This is a large-scale study of public preferences in the CIS countries with respect to various issues of Eurasian integration. In 2012 the project surveyed over 13,000 people in ten CIS countries and Georgia, between 950 and 2,000 people in each country. It aims to understand the dynamics of and key regularities in the development of integration processes from the point of view of the public in the CIS region.

The Centre’s experts believe that these data can be of use to specialist institutions and the expert community as a source of information for their research and for practical purposes. The disclosure of these data will also make it possible to prove and strengthen the reliability of findings made by the research.

At present The EDB Integration Barometer is undertaking the second comprehensive poll, which is now covering twelve countries of the region. The results will be made available in the beginning of September and will be open to the public.
