Almaty, 19 March 2013. The 8th international conference Human Resources Management: Trends in the Third Millennium, which took place last week in Astana, announced the results of the Senim 2013 competition. Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) was awarded the third place in the category Best Transnational Employer in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2012 and received a certificate of appreciation.

The Senim national employers competition is held every year by the HR Managers Association of Kazakhstan in order to determine the country’s top employers and encourage companies which enjoy the confidence of their employees and are socially responsible with respect to them.

The competition is unique in that it uses independent sources of information such as opinion polls in 14 regions of Kazakhstan and in the cities of Almaty and Astana, polls among the employees of the competing companies and an assessment of the nominees’ HR policies by the expert council.

More than sixty Kazakh employers took place in the Senim competition this year.

The Senim 2012 competition was supported by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Atameken Union National Economic Chamber of Kazakhstan and the KazEnergy Association of oil and gas and energy sector enterprises.
