EDB Places US $121.6 Million Dollar-Denominated Bonds on KASE
Almaty, April 1, 2026. — The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) has successfully completed the placement of three-year dollar-denominated bonds on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE). The total amount raised was US $121.6 million. The coupon rate was set at 5.35% per annum, equivalent to a spread of 150 basis points over three-year US Treasury notes.
The placement generated strong interest from institutional and private investors. Overall demand for the bonds exceeded the offering by more than 20%, reflecting the financial market's confidence in the EDB's credit quality and its strategic initiatives in the region.
The funds raised will be used to finance investment projects in the EDB’s member states, including infrastructure, energy, transport and industry. Current EDB projects are available on the Bank’s website.
The joint underwriters for the transaction were Halyk Finance JSC (the initiator), Alatau City Invest JSC and Forte Finance JSC.
The EDB continues to actively diversify its funding sources and expand its presence in local capital markets.
