EDB’s Financial Sector Programmes Aim to Enhance Infrastructure and Institutional Frameworks for Development of Market-Oriented Economies in Bank’s Member States

Moscow, 2 November 2011. Viktoria Chentsova, Head of Institutional and Banking Division at the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), spoke today at the Russian-German conference on small- and medium-sized businesses “Programmes to Support Small and Medium-Sized Businesses: The Role of Development Institutes” in St. Petersburg.

Ms Chentsova told the forum about the instruments, criteria, types and parameters of financing for small and medium businesses and about microfinance with the participation of the EDB through the provision of targeted loan facilities to financial institutions.
