EDB Starts Co-operation with Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Trade
The Eurasian Development Bank in the person of Kambar Shalgimbayev, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MIT) in the person of Vladimir Shkolnik, Minister of Industry and Trade, signed a Memorandum on Co-operation.
This Memorandum is aimed to support the development of market economy in the EDB member states and their sustained economic growth and mutual trade and economic contacts. In particular, the Memorandum provides for the development of financial and investment mechanisms for supporting integration projects being implemented by the member states and their foreign trade.
The Memorandum provides a legal framework for co-operation between the EDB and MIT in the field of exchange of information relating to investment projects, provision of expert assistance to the parties to investment projects, financing and co-financing of projects and export operations, and monitoring of investment projects which the EDB agreed to finance.
