EDB to Finance Import of Textile Equipment to Tajikistan

Today, the Eurasian Development Bank and Lendesbank Berlin AG of Germany signed a loan agreement to finance import of textile equipment to Tajikistan. The loan will be used by Olim Textile to implement its project to construct a modern spinning mill in that country. Under this project, German textile equipment will be shipped and various services necessary for commissioning the new facility will be provided. The EDB will invest in this project over $22.6 million for twelve years. Landesbank Berlin AG will provide a loan to the EDB, and Euler Hermes will act as insurer.
