EDB to take part in the EBRD Annual Meeting in London

Almaty, 17 May 2012. The Eurasian Development Bank’s (EDB) delegation headed by Igor Finogenov, Chairman of the Executive Board, will take part in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s (EBRD) Annual Meeting which will take place in London on 18—19 May 2012. EDB’s delegation includes Dmitry Zhurba and Sergey Shatalov, Deputy Chairmen of the Executive Board, Evgeny Vinokurov, Director of the EDB Centre for Integration Studies, and other representatives of the Bank.

The head of the EDB will speak in the forum’s session Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus: New Investment Opportunities within the Common Economic Space (CES). Mr Finogenov will present a report on the improvement in business climate and environment for investors as a result of the development of the CES.

Other expected participants in the session are Sergey Storchak, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation (EBRD Alternate Governor for the Russian Federation), Vladimir Semashko, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus (EBRD Governor for the Republic of Belarus), Bolat Zhamishev, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan (EBRD Governor for the Republic of Kazakhstan), Vladimir Dmitriyev, Chairman of Vneshekonombank, Igor Zyuzin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mechel OAO, and other heads of major Russian and foreign companies.
