Eurasian development bank opens a KZT 7.7 billion loan facility for KazTransGas Aimak

Almaty, 1 November 1, 2016 -  Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) provided finance for Kazakhstan's largest gas supplier, KazTransGas Aimak. A KZT 7.7 billion loan agreement was signed on 1 November 2016 by Maxim Korzhov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board at EDB, and Nurzhan Dyusembinov, General Director of KazTransGas Aimak.

The loan will finance an investment programme to upgrade and construct gas distribution networks in Aktobe Region. In particular, it will be used to build an automated gas distribution station (AGRS-300) in Aktobe, gas pipelines to the villages of Komsomol and Kosestek, an internal gas pipeline in the village of Irgiz, and other facilities.

The loan will help KazTransGas Aimak to upgrade the existing gas network and ensure gas supplies to villages and settlements in Kazakhstan that lack them.

KazTransGas Aimak services over 7 million people and over 30,000 businesses, accounting for 95% of Kazakhstan's commercial gas market.

The company was established on 12 April 2002 and now accounts for 95% of Kazakhstan's commercial gas market, servicing over 7 million people and over 30,000 businesses.
