Exhibition of works of young Armenian artists–participants of the EDB project Art Uniting the Continent to be held in Yerevan

20 March 2013

Almaty, 20 March 2013. An exhibition of works of young Armenian artists–participants of the EDB project Art Uniting the Continent is opening today in Yerevan at the exhibition center of the Armenian Artists’ Union. The event is organized by the Armenian Artists’ Union and the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).

In 2012, the EDB published a book of paintings under the same name. The collection contains works of 48 young artists from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, and Tajikistan. The paintings in the collection help us keep a memory of the things we experience, long for, appreciate, and love today. They reflect the history made by our nations on our vast and diverse common Eurasian space.

“We are happy to exhibit works of young talented artists, who participated in the EDB project Art Uniting the Continent. The book of paintings reflects the life in the EDB member states through its imaginative conceptualization in art, and has already received a positive response. We are happy that, besides our core activity aimed at economic development of the EDB member states, we are able to implement an arts project of explicit integration nature,” noted Head of the EDB Representative Office in Yerevan Sergey Ignatov.

At the exhibition opening, there will be a ceremony of handling commemorative diplomas and books of paintings to the artists, whose works were published in the book. The exhibition will last from March 20 to March 23.
