Kyrgyz Prime Minister Zhantoro Satybaldiyev receives Head of EDB Igor Finogenov

Zhantoro Satybaldiyev, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, had a meeting on 17 May with Igor Finogenov, Chairman of Eurasian Development Bank’s (EDB) Management Board. According to the press service of the Kyrgyz government, the parties discussed their plans for developing cooperation.

The Prime Minister expressed his contentment with the opening of the EDB representative office in Bishkek. “The opening of the Bank’s representative office will help improve business climate in the country and develop the banking sector. I am convinced that close cooperation with the Bank will make it possible to fulfil a number of promising projects,” said the head of the government.

Igor Finogenov pointed out that the Bank had serious and long-term plans in the Kyrgyz market. He said that the first results of the Bank’s work in Kyrgyzstan were already visible. In particular, EDB had provided a loan to develop the country’s power sector and signed an agreement with Aiyl Bank on agricultural equipment supplies from Russia for lease.
