Macroeconomic Outlook for 2024–2026: the EDB’s webinar on 20 June 2024

14 June 2024

Almaty, 14 June 2024. On 20 June 2024, the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) will host a webinar to present its macroeconomic outlook for 2024–2026. The event will feature findings from an analysis of the economic development of the Bank’s six member countries, including key macroeconomic projections and risks relevant to each country.

During the webinar, EDB analysts will discuss 2024 GDP growth forecasts for the Bank’s member countries and address the following questions:

  • Will the global economy slow down, and, if so, for how long? Are key central banks delaying their rate cuts again?
  • What impact will the global economy have on EDB member countries: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan?
  • GDP growth rates are expected to exceed the “historical norm” for two years in a row – how will the region’s economy develop in the medium term?
  • Targeted inflation – is it achievable, and how much more time will central banks need?
  • Highly uncertain baseline forecast: what are the risks and opportunities for EDB member countries, and how will they affect the economy?

Don’t miss the opportunity to learn about the latest economic forecasts and ask questions of leading experts.

Date and time: 20 June 2024, 12:00 (Astana) | 10:00 (Moscow)
