Moscow, 30 May 2011. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) is informing about new appointments in the Marketing Communications and Public Relations Department. Maxim Savitsky was appointed as the Head of the Department and Yulia Ostroukhova as the Media Relations Director. Maxim Savitsky will manage all the work associated with EDB’s PR, image promotion and marketing activities. Yulia will coordinate the media communications in all the Bank’s member countries.
Maxim Savitsky graduated from the State Management Academy in Moscow majoring in economic cybernetics. In 1997, he obtained LLM in international legal studies from Newcastle University, UK. From 2004 through 2010, Mr Savitsky held managerial positions in the Uralsib Financial Corporation. In particular, he was Senior Vice President managing Marketing, Advertisement and Public Relations of the Uralsib Bank and the Uralsib Financial Corporation. In 2008, he was named the best marketing director of the country’s financial companies and one of the top five marketing directors in Russia (according to the Kommersant newspaper). Also in 2008, Maxim Savitsky won the Russia’s Media Manager award in the advertisement section. In 2009, he was included in the 1000 Russia’s Presidential Reserve list.
Yulia Ostroukhova graduated from the department of journalism, media and cultural studies of the University of Wales in Cardiff, UK, in 2003. She holds an MA degree from this University. In 1998, Yulia graduated with honours from the department of Romanic and Germanic languages of the Khakassia State University specialising in foreign languages, and in 2001 from the BBC School of Journalism. Prior to the Media Relations Director’s position with the EDB, Yulia headed the Communications Department at the Absolut Bank, the Public Relations Directorate at the Renaissance Capital Bank, the Media Relations Department at Vympelcom JSC (the Beeline trademark), and worked as an editor, presenter and reporter at various TV and radio companies, including Radio Liberty in Prague and London. Yulia is an honorary scholar of the UK Foreign Office. The projects she managed won many prestigious international awards in the sphere of communications and PR, including the SABRE Awards and PROBA.
