New EDB Council Members from Tajikistan Appointed

Tajikistan appointed Safarali Nadzhmiddinov, Minister of Finance, its authorised representative in the EDB Council, and Abdugafor Rakhmonov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management, his deputy. In accordance with the EDB Charter, they became members of the Council after the Bank had been officially notified to that effect.

Until now, the Council comprised the following members appointed by Russia, Kazakhstan and Armenia:

  • Viktor Khristenko, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation;
  • Dmitry Pankin, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation;
  • Bolat Zhamishev, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • Aset Isekeshev, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • Armen Movsisyan, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia; and
  • Iosif Isayan, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia.

In June this year, Tajikistan completed all procedures required for joining the EDB and became full member.
