The collaboration between EDB and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation will focus on the development of trade, investment and production cooperation between the CES countries

Almaty, 22 June 2012. Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation signed today a cooperation agreement. The document was signed by Igor Finogenov, Chairman of the EDB Management Board, and Sergey Katyrin, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, in the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The parties agreed to develop collaboration aimed at the promotion of trade, investment and production cooperation between the economies that take part in the processes of Eurasian economic integration and the development of cross-border trade between the regions of Russia and the regions of the CES member states.

«At the same time, EDB and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry will consolidate efforts in finding solutions to issues such as the improvement of the investment climate and the removal of barriers to the development of business in Russia. We are interested in the Chamber’s close ties with Russian regions, which can provide us with additional opportunities in implementing joint projects with administrations of the constituent units of the Russian Federation,» Igor Finogenov, head of EDB, said.
