The Dushanbe Mayor’s Office and the EDB Fund for Digital Initiatives to set up the Dushanbe e-map digital platform
Dushanbe, 2 October 2025.
The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and the Smart City State Unitary Enterprise at the Dushanbe Executive Authority have launched a project to develop a digital platform for an electronic map of Dushanbe.
The project is supported by the EDB Fund for Digital Initiatives and aims to create a unified digital environment for urban infrastructure management. The platform will provide the Dushanbe Mayor’s Office with up-to-date, systematised data on key processes in the city, including statistics, property management, utility services, tax reporting and other municipal data.
The platform will mark an important step in the digital transformation of the city, ensuring:
- improved management decisions;
- greater transparency of processes; and
- higher living standards through more accurate planning and monitoring.
The project will scale up the successful application of mapping technologies and automated management processes from other EDB countries to Tajikistan.
This transfer of technology is intended to accelerate digital transformation in Tajikistan and support the development of end-to-end digital linkages for cross-border processes in the future.
The financing agreement on the Dushanbe e-map digital platform was signed on 24 September 2025, with the first tranche for project implementation disbursed on 30 September.
