The EDB and Kaluga Region intend to develop transport infrastructure
St. Petersburg, 24 May 2018. Andrey Beliyaninov, Chairman of the Management Board of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), and Anatoly Artamonov, Governor of Kaluga Region, signed an agreement on possible cooperation in the development of transport and other infrastructure in the region. The signature ceremony took place in the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
To fulfil the agreement, the parties intend to share information, subject to current laws.
“Kaluga Region is one of the most dynamic constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The cooperation ties that have been created as part of complex high-tech projects do benefit our member states already. I am positive that the EDB’s participation in the development of Kaluga Region will add dynamics to these processes,” Andrey Beliyaninov, Chairman of the EDB Management Board, said.
“Our region plans to implement large-scale infrastructure projects that are important to the sustainable economic growth and comprehensive development of the region. The Eurasian Development Bank’s investment is of special importance to us. I am convinced that our cooperation with the EDB will help to modernise and diversify regional economy,” Anatoly Artamonov, Governor of Kaluga Region, added.
