The EDB announces the results of the Eurasian Integration and Development in the 21st Century competition for the best media publication
Moscow, 22 December 2019. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) announced the results of its sixth competition for the media – Eurasian Integration and Development in the 21st Century.
The competition invited entries from news agencies, newspapers, magazines, web portals, and TV channels from the Bank’s member states – Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, and Tajikistan.
By the deadline, the EDB had received around 200 entries from all the member states. These were reviewed by an expert board comprising heads of the Journalist Unions from all the six member countries. All the entries were submitted to the board anonymously to ensure objective assessment.
The jury noted that the entries had quality content and studied in depth the issues around Eurasian integration. The number of entries from TV channels on EAEU developments has increased significantly.
Nikolai Podguzov, Chairman of the EDB Management Board, welcomed the winners by video conference and emphasised the media’s role in promoting integration on the Eurasian continent. He thanked the winners for the outstanding presentation of the Eurasian integration agenda and wished them new professional achievements.

- Natalia Svetolov (Belarus, Zvyazda)
- Laura Zhusupbekova (Kazakhstan, Khabar TV)
The Best TV Story:
- Irina Flyur (Russia, MIR TV)
- Mirbek Moldakunov (Kyrgyzstan, Ala-Too)
- Galiya Tokareva (Kazakhstan, Khabar 24)
Special prizes went to:
- Alexey Dzermant, for his search for the values of Eurasian integration in his book Belarus-Eurasia. The Borderland of Russia and Europe, Belarus
- Victoria Fedorova, Sputnik Blizhneye Zarubezhye, for organising and hosting video bridges with EAEU countries on Eurasian integration highlights
- Alevtina Donskikh, for her series of articles on Eurasian integration in the newspaper Delovoi Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan
This year, the Eurasian Economic Commission established a new nomination – The Best Publication on Business in the EAEU. Daniyar Turusbekov, Director of the Protocol and Organisational Support Department of the EEC, announced the winner – Alexandra Vasilkova (Kyrgyzstan, Vecherniy Bishkek newspaper).
