The EDB issues US $100 million two-year notes on Kazakhstan’s international stock exchange

21 December 2021

Moscow, 20 December 2021. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) has issued two-year notes for a total of US $100 million, with a coupon of 1.50% per annum, on Astana International Exchange (AIX), Kazakhstan’s international stock exchange.

The dollar-denominated issue is the Bank’s third entry into the international capital markets since the beginning of 2021, following the spring euro-denominated and the summer tenge-denominated Eurobond issues. It is another milestone in diversifying the Bank’s funding sources and ensuring its stable access to international markets.

The proceeds finance the EDB’s social projects in Kazakhstan. The dollar-denominated funding will reduce inflation pressures associated with the financing of tenge-denominated projects.
