The EDB maintains business as usual in Kazakhstan

Almaty, 12 January 2022. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) is maintaining business as usual with all its clients and partners in Kazakhstan and conducting all types of operations.

The Bank has received no notifications from Kazakhstan’s borrowers on possible delays in servicing their liabilities.

Bank experts estimate that the economic slowdown that happened in January 2022 will be reversed shortly. The key objective over the next month will be to get the economy back on a sustainable growth trajectory. The EDB expects Kazakhstan’s GDP to grow by around 4% over the year.
