The EDB provides US $30 million to Ameriabank CJSC to support SMEs in the Republic of Armenia
The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and Ameriabank CJSC have signed a loan agreement to open a US $30 million credit line to support SME development in the Republic of Armenia. The funds are provided for 4 years.
The project implementation will facilitate an expansion of the bank’s activity, inter alia in the area of lending to businesses, and support the development of the real sector of the economy.
While ensuring the economic stability, small and medium businesses are of strategic importance for Armenia. The loan proceeds will enable support to domestic SMEs in addressing the issue of long-term financing needed for capital outlays and investments.
