The “Work in the EAEU” app by the EDB Fund for Digital Initiatives launches services in Uzbekistan
Almaty, 25 December 2024. As of 20 December 2024, the “Work in the EAEU” mobile app, developed by the Eurasian Development Bank’s (EDB) Fund for Digital Initiatives, has launched public and commercial services for migrant workers in Uzbekistan. This enables individuals seeking employment in Uzbekistan to access the necessary services directly from their smartphones.
In Uzbekistan, users can now search for job vacancies and apply to government authorities to request a personal identification number or obtain a registration card. Additionally, the app offers employment-related tax services, information on IT visas, work permits and other visa requirements, including types of visas, and other essential services.
New features include the ability to search for accommodation and purchase air or railway tickets. As with other national segments, the range of services available to migrant workers in Uzbekistan is expected to grow continuously, incorporating additional public and commercial offerings. For now, 19 services are available in the Uzbekistan segment.
In addition, the “Work in the EAEU” app provides comprehensive information on the laws and regulations related to employment in Uzbekistan.
