The “Work in the EAEU” app expands its services with the Kyrgyz segment for labour migrants
Almaty, 12 January 2024. Starting 27 December 2023, the “Work in the EAEU” mobile app, developed by the Eurasian Development Bank’s Fund for Digital Initiatives, has incorporated public and commercial services for labour migrants in the Kyrgyz Republic. This development enables citizens of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan moving to work in the Kyrgyz Republic to access the services necessary for their employment conveniently through their smartphones. The app also offers services for Armenia and Russia.
The “Work in the EAEU” app now facilitates the search for job vacancies in the Kyrgyz Republic; provides information on how to prepare necessary documents; offers services from the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic; guides users on electronically obtaining voluntary, mandatory or employee patents required for work; and outlines recommended steps for employment, in the “Help” tab.
It also has a feature allowing foreign citizens to search for accommodation and register their residence in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Fund for Digital Initiatives’ app introduces the possibility of obtaining the “Digital Nomad” status for IT specialists, granting specific preferences such as exemption from residence registration, automatic assignment of a personal identification number (PIN) and the option to obtain a work permit for up to 12 months, with the potential for automatic extension for the same period.
In addition, the “Work in the EAEU” app provides comprehensive information on the laws and regulations governing employment in the Kyrgyz Republic. Users can access key provisions and full texts of relevant documents on the Kyrgyz Republic’s Centralised Legal Information Databank public website.
